Derby County Ladies Football Club was established in 1989 and currently runs two senior women’s teams playing in the FA Women's Premier League Northern Division and seven junior teams competing in the Nottinghamshire Girls League, Derbyshire Girls and Ladies League and the Central Warwickshire Girls League. An exciting addition to the club is our relationship with the Derby County Girls Centre of Excellence with a dedicated player pathway into the Derby County Ladies senior squads. Derby County Ladies Football Club is the Premier women's football club in Derbyshire and aims to help develop girls and women’s football across the county, from grassroots to elite performers with the overall objective of providing a safe and exciting learning environment for all of our players. Our success comes from a committed and FA qualified coach workforce that remain focused on player development as their primary aim: developing our future footballers, in order that all of our players have a sound knowledge of different skills, techniques, roles and responsibilities that will be needed at the top level of women's football.
